Francisco Hernandez is a dual citizen of the United States and Mexico. As such, he has family, friends and professional contacts in both countries. His home and his law firm are located in Fort Worth, Texas.
Francisco worked personally with President Vicente Fox's campaign for President of Mexico. He has also helped bridge the gap between Mexico and U.S. business practices as an expert in the area of international relations and politics.
In addition to running his law firm, Francisco has served as Chairman of the Texas Ethics Commission, as a Municipal Judge and is currently Vice Chairman of the DFW Airport Board. Prior to establishing his own firm, he has served in the Texas State Capitol as special legislative counsel for Senator Mike Moncrief and Representative Doyle Willis. He was an in-house legislative attorney for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company as well as a Staff attorney for a large metropolitan law firm. Early in his career, Francisco worked for Skadden Arps, a multi-national law firm in Washington, D.C., in the U.S. Congress and the U.S. Department of Justice.
Francisco has authored several legal articles and presented seminars in the U.S. and Mexico. A few of the honors he's received include being named "Man of the Year" by the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, "Outstanding Young Leader" by the Jr. Chamber of Commerce, and one of "40 Under 40" by the Fort Worth Business Press. Francisco is involved in numerous community activities and has been honored for his volunteerism.
Francisco received his Juris Doctorate from the Catholic University of America's Columbus School of Law in Washington, D.C. and his undergraduate degree from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas.
Francisco and his wife, a native of Holland, have four children. Thanks to their multi-national heritage, the children are tri-lingual, speaking English, Spanish and Dutch. Francisco's interests outside of his family and his law practice include politics and soccer.
